Charmless Man

Great track by BLUR, Charmless Man

I met him in a crowded room
Where people go to drink away their gloom
He sat me down and so began
The story of a charmless man

Educated the expensive way
He knows his claret from his beaujolais
I think he`d like to have been Ronnie Kray
But then nature didn´t make him that way
He went...

Na na na na na na na na naaa (2x)

He thinks he´s educated airs
Those family shares
Will protect him
That we´ll respect him
He moves in circles of friends
Who just pretend
That they like him
He does the same to them
And when you put it all together
There`s the model of a charmless man

Na na na na na na na na naaa (2x)

He knows the swingers and their cavalry
Says he can get in anywhere for free
I began to go a little cross-eyed
And from this charmless man I just had to hide

Na na na na na na na na naaa (2x)
He talks at speed
He gets nose bleeds
He doesn´t see
His days are tumbling
Down upon him
And yet he tries
so hard to please
He´s just so keen
For you to listen
But no-one´s listening
And when you put it all together
There´s the model of a charmless man

(Do anything you do if you can)

He thinks he`s educated airs
Those family shares
Will protect him
That you`ll respect him
And yet he tries
so hard to please
He`s just so keen
For you to listen
But no-one`s listenig
And when you put it all together
There`s the model of a charmless man

Na na na na na na na na naaa (4x)

a lil' boring

Just added a new link in my Essential Links column...

Yes, its Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Dance Music yet again!

well, its a really good general guide for people who defines every single electronic genre and sub-genre as "TECHNO".
I think you should really go read up, listen to the various music, and stop associating good music with The Kings of Cheese Crazyfrog and DJ Sammy.

If you can't find the link, its right HERE.

Remember, as I have said, its only a rough guide to this genre of music, some of the comments by the creator are somewhat funny, and biased to certain genres.
Go through the guide, and you might find something you like infact.

Cheers

updates version seven pointe zero

Whats up world.

I did an insane amount of shopping over the past week...
partially because my last SAF pay, my pay for the PC show, and some winnings I made from the World Cup kind of all came at one time.

I just got myself the Lacoste polo tee today, the candy striped colour one... couldn't find a picture of it so I can't share it with you...
I got my jacket too, its a blue and white striped jacket with no hood...
An Italian jersey, I bought it quite sometime ago... WAY before they won the World Cup.
A new pair of bermudas from HDLN or, Headline.

I also sent my Levis for altering. I bought it a few years back in poly, its a little too baggy for the current trend now, so I decided to sent it to dear Doctor John at Lucky Plaza, hopefully he's got it done by wednesday. After that which I shall sent my beloved Levis to HAUT, which is located at ICON, opposite Bugis Junction for some modifications. A little patchwork on my lower knee area, some torn areas, and some chinese embroidery on the flipside of the jeans at the bottom... guess it'll look nice, but its pretty similar to a CLOT.

I caught Pirates of the Carribean:Dead Man's Chest last thursday.
Its pretty good, not as much fighting compared to the first one.
The ending of the movie, well, all I can say it just leaves us to anticipate the 3rd episode more. :)

Spent my saturday hanging out with Tom and M elvinat Alleybar. You know, a little catching up with the gang. Which ended with us having "Mah La Huo Kuo" at geylang. The soup, is filled with chilli. Its a fucken killer.

Hopefully, I can get a new computer by the start of school.
As you can see, my computer is dying already. 5 years old. I think its time to say goodbye to it.

I'm only studying 3 days a week until november. Currently its like Wed noon, entire day on Thursday, and Fri morning. Fucked right!? When Novmeber comes, it'll be the same, just add Tues noon in.
Oh how I regret not doing my eCR immediately. DAMN.
But looking at my timetable, I'm not sure I'll be able to find a job which is flexible enough and yet let me earn enough money to survive. But I still cling on to hope. :D

Job offerings anyone?
PLEASE! PLEASE! Give me a call if you have a job offering!

A New Chapter X The Final Stand

A week has passed since the World Cup.
no more football matches in the middle of the night.
no more late nights for me.

Army life is coming to an end soon for me.
With the final charge a COC parade, 2 standbys and half a duty.

Went to SIM's orientation day on wednesday. To tell the truth it was my first time going to orientation. I didn't even go for poly's orientation back then.
Well, the ice-breaker games were cool, it did break the ice for us.
The whole event was pretty well organised.
Met some new peeps, kinda forgotten their names already, its not that I'm have attitude problem or unfriendly whatsoever. I'm just not good at it really.
Wouldn't judge them as nice people, its too early to tell, but overall, they were pretty friendly.

Went back to camp today for a COC rehearsal.
Fuck I'm gonna ORD already and yet there's still such shit for me. Can't these fucken pussies leave me in peace?
Nevertheless, I still put in effort in my drills although I'm a little rusty already.
Looking on the brighter side of things, at least I get to suntan a little. PFFT

And the duties, stunts are becoming an instant hit among us. You get to see who's the real selfish fucker in times like this.
So, I do my part too, not in terms of stunts, but playing my part with the duties even though I contribute very little. Hey! I did a part too right? My leave is legit!!!
I'm a little sick to tell the whole story, but if thats the way they wanna play the game, I'll gladly play along with them.
And from a political point of view. I'm an absolute heartless fella. Because you don't deserve the better side of me.

ITALIA: CAMPIONI DEL MONDO 2006!!!!

Italy 1 - 1 France

Italy wins 5-3 on penalties.

It may not be a nice way to bring the curtain down, but at least we broke our penalty jinx by converting all our penalties.

Say all you want.
A win is still a win.

And definitely refreshing and delighted to see Totti and Del Piero hugging each other and talking happily.
Of all people, these 2.
The golden boys of italian football.
Lippi did a great job about the club rivalry thing.

After a 12 year wait for another shot at finals.
After a 24 year wait to be champions again.

We are the champions once again!!!
For the 4th time!
We'll have 4 stars on our jerseys!

Italy: World Champions 2006!!!

FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!!

Yet another negative comment

I just bought my copy The Newpaper an hour ago, read the football news first as usual.
Well, for the first time, I saw positive comments on Italy from writers other than Gary Lim and Tohari Paijan.
2 of them were the only ones who looked at the game from a different view from other editors of the paper.

What really pissed me off, and in the meantime amused me were the comments of ignorant fools who are saying things like a sore loser.
Namely, The Newpaper's Soccer babe Tracy Su. Who is actually a Germany supporter.

"I disliked the Italians. They are team of divers and actors. They're always grabbing their faces when they get hit even if they're hit on the chest! And when they get knocked on one leg, they'll hold both and roll on the ground three times."

Well, Miss Tracy, you can say whatever fuck shit you want on the newspapers about Italy cause I believe all the italian fans who've read your comments are surely laughing their arses off.
Your comments simply reflect your ignorance of the game. And not actually watching the game properly.
Maybe you were too tired or what.
Maybe you had stamps sticked on your eyes for most of match.

Read this if you didn't watch the match properly. Its from Soccernet.com.

"Players from both teams dived and over-reacted to the slightest bit of contact.

Michael Ballack often seemed happy to tap the ball to one side and fall over the nearest opponent.

It would be nice if he could copy his national team manager Klinsmann and drop the diving habit when he moves to England.

Italy kicked the ball out for an injured player and Germany refused to give it back. Twice Italian players refused to shake German hands."

We are divers? Well so is your beloved Germany. :)
And how dirty a player is Miroslav Klose who elbowed Argentinian goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri so hard that he had to sit out the rest of the game.

Well Miss "Soccer Babe" and all those singaporeans, if your idea of a winner is a team who doesn't return the ball to the other team who put the ball out for treatment of an injured player. Kudos to all of you.

Don't come arguing about us not shaking your hands. I don't think you deserve it.

All I can say, it was a very tight contest between the 2 teams. Germany did well, really. Credits to them. But the better team went through.

At the end of the day, your comments on the Germany v Italy match has spoilt your image as the "Soccer Babe" who is suppose to know the game. Or was there a image to begin with?

That is, if you're reading this blog of mine.

Superman, in real life

Here's the real deal.

The last 4. Finals left.

Hello world.

The World Cup has reached the semi-finals stage already, and all the teams playing against each other are major footballing nations which will be very exciting.

Germany v Italy
What else? Forza Italia!

Portugal v France
With Deco and Costinha back, Portugal look ready for a serious assault on the trophy but France on the other hand, have found their form which saw them see off favourties Brazil & Spain. Certainly a clash of the titans. France with the magic of Zidane and the speed of Henry, I reckon them to go through this one. But not without a very tough fight against Portugal.
