Edging closer

Hello world.

I haven't pretty much wrote anything recently until today.

Pretty unbusy nowadays.

The new specs have taken over my duties completely.
Life in base is absolutely finding things to do because there's actually pretty much nothing to do.
Sleep.
Eat.
DVDs.
Winning Eleven.
La Kopi @ Changi V.
Gym.

I find my own existance in camp is kinda redundant.
And when times like these come...

Another appointment is given to you.
Its called Platoon Sergeant.
Doesn't do much anyway.
OIC of sergeants.
I don't care much anyway now.
Just endure, the last few months.
Of this fucked up place.
Called Changi Air Base.
of the RSAF.

Fuck you all.

Word is spreading that our OC wants us to clear our off/leave now.
He wants us to be around during July for the COC.
Well, we will be around for sure for the parade.
But I want my off/leave for my HK trip in July.
I'm starting school in August.
I need the leave too.
If it happens, probably a war will erupt.
Not just me. But us.

Actually I haven't been doing much since my last post.
Just trying out the life of an introvert for the past 2 weeks because I'm in camp for the past 2 weekends.
Not extras, it just happen to be my duty.
Not duty, its just that I need to be there to be seen.

Agnelli & Nelson @ ZOUK this friday.
Anyone?

Party to freedom

Its been a crazy weekend for me, going to Zouk on both Friday and Saturday.

Its all about the DJ.
Who's in town for the night.

It was Markus Schulz on Friday night at Zouk.
It was his first time playing in Singapore, and being an avid progressive fan that I am, this is one not to be missed.
Was with Andee only, before meeting up with the usual peeps, Lionel, Brandon and Felix.
His set started off at the usual timing, 1am in the morning.
Churning out his usual tunes, Eighties, Breathe, Language just to name a few.
It sounded very different compared to hearing it on Global DJ Broadcast.
It was more... energetic, the bpm wasn't really that high but you could feel the energy.
Andee "Soulful" Loo proclaimed it was too hard for him. What the?
I didn't stay too late though, left at about 3am. There's a need to conserve energy for something else the next day.

The next day however, was the real deal.
Marco V.
For the third time in Singapore, his sounds are unique and ultimately, hard. Melodically hard.
I was there again, with the usual guys, Andee , Lionel & Co, Melvin, Benny, Liwei and Johnathan.
It was the usual, set started at 1am blah blah.
He didn't really started off with his signature sound though, it was around 2am when you could finally hear the Marco V which everyone was there for.
Melodic tunes, heart thumping beats was the order for the night.
Red Blue Purple, False Light, Bang Bang, More than a life away, Aftermath was just some of them dished out.
I stayed till a record breaking timing, which I, myself couldn't believe.
6am
He stopped at 6am.
Surprisingly there were still quite a number of people around during 530am.
But never have I stayed at Zouk until this late.
Imagine the music.
Left with me were Liwei, Melvin and Andee.
Liwei & Melvin were totally gone.
Andee, surprisingly, enjoyed his 5 hour set.
And he didn't complain anything about hard.
I'm gonna say this again Andee if you're reading this.
You're either 120, or you're 170. Bpm.
You should change your name from Andee "Soulful" Loo to Andee "120 or 170" Loo. hahaha.

Its monday.
The ASLC have finally finished their OJT.
Ole!
They will takeover our duties henceforth.
All we'll be doing, is just shadowing them.
Ole!

But rumour has it. 4 "lucky" specs will be posted to HQ.
8-5.
And I'm 1 of the rumoured ones.
Fuck off.
No way am I gonna go to HQ.
House of Flying Daggers.
Selfish & lazy people.
Hell no.
