Boulevard of Broken Dreams

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know were it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Were the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone
I walk alone I walk alone
I walk alone and I walk a-
My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till then I'll walk alone
Ah..ah..
I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line of the edge
And where I walk alone
Read between the lines
What's fucked up and everything's alright
Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive And I walk alone
I walk alone I walk alone
I walk alone and I walk a-
My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till then I'll walk alone
Ah..ah..
I walk alone and I walk a-
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Were the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a-
My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till then I'll walk alone

Life of a 8-5 Personnel

finally, i've been chosen to go as a instructor for the coming Field Defense Course, which is like tomorrow.
I spent the week on a 8-5 basis.
Now i realise the life of a 8-5 personnel.

Up Lah.

basically, you arrive in base at 8. have breakfast at the canteen till 9. Then you slack around, go for a little lessons and talk a little bullshit with your mates and you realise suddenly its lunch time which is 12.
quick lunch at the canteen or the pantry, and you can a little nap or play pool till 1:30pm.
and its back to the after breakfast routine and presto! Its 5pm!
time to fuck off.
Nothing later then that.
Life's good uh? maybe its because we are on course to prepare us for the instructorial role ahead of us.
Life can't be anything better then this.

I'll be staying in with the new trainees from now onwards for the next 12 weeks.
Its like having nights off every week cause there's a total of 8 instructors during the course.
theres only a need for 2 to stay behind in the night.
And the rest of the 6?
Off we go...
But i don't think we'll be heading home or what. Its kinda... "buey steady" to actually pangseh ya mates.
maybe just supper at changi village. haha.

caught Batman Begins on thursday with bennett. See? the priviliges of 8-5! you get to watch movies everyday!
its a well done movie, with the Batman being one of the coolest i have seen compared to previous Batman movies. perhaps its the actor, he protrays Bruce Wayne so well. forgotten his name but hey its definitely worth the money catching that movie. The next movie i'm gonna watch is gonna be Initial D. I'm not a car fan or what but the publicity surrounding it has got me curious to actually go catch it.

went to orchard to do some shopping yesterday with michael. bought myself 3 tees. mainly 2 from Fragile and 1 from Headline. i don't have a cam so i can't post any pics here.
met up with ivan and liwei much later for some dinner and coffee.
slacked around town and accompany ivan to grab his iPOD mini.
its not for him. its for nicole.
awww.... so sweet.
well its good to be in love isn't it?
went to Transient @ Onyx with SolarStone later with liwei. It was my first time at the newly opened club. Not to mention Centro because i've been to centro countless of times. but it was a virgin trip to Onyx.
there wasn't much difference in the layout but the DJ console was definitely higher. You can't even see the hands of the DJ! Yukun played a dope warmup set, ending his warm up with Cern - The Message (Southern mix) on a high note.
Sadly, solarstone cutted off his sound and begun their set kinda slowly, slowly building up the musical journey and dropping tracks like Jump the next Train, Beautiful things along the way. The vibe was pretty good and i was kinda surprised to see that the dancefloor was still crowded at 3am in the morning. but it wasn't to last, at around 4, there were still people on the dancefloor, around 20-25. which was very little compared to an hour earlier. Me and felix presumed that the set started too slowly and the "harder & techy" tracks came a little too late to actually keep the crowd going. ahh... singaporeans. The duo were giving out free gifts like vinyls to the crowd. ok it was only vinyls haha. I got hold of one of them! it was a white label, but i assume its Jump the next train as what they've written on the sleeve of Lionel's vinyl. Maybe its some new mix they've done. who knows? They ended their set at around 4:30 with one of their famous tracks, Seven Cities. And an encore of Motorcycle's As the Rush Comes (Sweeping Strings remix).

Spent the whole day today practically in limbo. slacked around the whole day, packing my stuff and preparing for a stay in life again.
don't kinda mind staying in cause it saves me alot of money actually hahaa

Guoliang's gonna leave for Qatar tomorrow for a month. Good luck bro, take care of yourself. Bon voyage.

Taurus Warriors

its been a year.
a year since i entered the dreaded army.
a journey where boys turn to men
a journey in which every male in singapore goes through.
i'm left with 14 months more.
7th August 2006that will be the fateful day.

and if i disrupt...i consider disrupt as ORD.
its 1 more year.12 more months.
ORD!
maybe its a little too early to be in ORD mood but...who cares!

met up with the taurusONE dudes yesterday. the turnout wasn't really good.majority were from section 1, and yee hsien, melvin & kenny were there too.sat down at somerset starbucks, did some real good catching up. talked about the good old days back in BMT, our favourite target board 1302 alias Jason Chee, unit life and many more which i shan't elaborate.
once taurus, always taurus.
it wasn't the hardest of days i had in army but...
it was the best time i ever had in army.
the best platoon.
the cohesiveness, how close we were to each other, mind you its platoon level.

i got myself some stuff that day too, the new Oasis CD. haven't heard it yet, will try it out tomorrow in camp. hehe...
Jupe - Act of God (Original and Nice Sentience mix)
hard and techy stuff, with some percussions to give the tribal effect.
my kinda sound now.

hard times ahead

its the last 2 days work 2 days off i have for the rest of the month. An upcoming siong month. 2 work, 1 standby, 1 off, 2 work, 1 off, 1 standby. and the cycle goes on.

went to town with jason and hanqiang yesterday. practically had nowhere to go in mind except for jason who wanted to go PS to sign up for some starhub thingy. and ended up in PS did we.
hanged around PS and stayed for a coffee before heading down to parklane to look for the merah gang.

met up with meekok later for a short chit chat in town. discussed some issues regarding univershitty and what movie to watch, which in the end, we didn't watch cause i wasn't up for Cursed.
parted ways with him which saw me ended up with guoliang & ivan.
many meetings uh?
basically we slacked around tampines talking cock, as usual.
my life has suddenly become very boring. not to say boring.
lets just say, we somehow had nothing to do, nowhere to go. we've did like almost everything imaginable in singapore.
there wasn't any nice gigs at any clubs, mahjong was tad boring. weren't in the mood for KTV.
and so we slacked like we never slack before.
it didn't took too long for us to take our leave and i went home soon after.
i got my copy of Matt Darey - Liberation (Factoria Extended & Marey vs Michael Woods mix)
smashing euphoric track.

well, went down to PC show today. didn't grab anything except for a creative speaker. wanted to get a MuVo Slim but its not the 10th yet. haha.
Guoliang's chick got hold of her mp3 player and we caught Madagascar at century square.
not bad for a cartoon. but not as good as Ice Age.
the coolest characters had to be the 4 penguins. they simply made me laugh with their antics.
did played a little mahjong today. won a little. just enough to cover my cabfare home.
nothing much to look forward, except for the 10th, payday!
and its the great singapore sale. here i come!

absolutely timeless

1) Hands Burn - Good Shot (Signum remix)
2)Inner & Outer - Eastway
3)The Gift - Love Angel (main mix)
4)Altered Ego - Off Your Rocker
5)Eric Pryoz vs Alex M.O.R.P.H - untitled (more vocal mix)

yet another mix i have done. its a short one, i have no idea about the last track cause when i bought it i didn't really noticed the title.
it sounded good, i bought it. tad simple.
overall the mix was pretty much ok for me but then the introduction of the tracks need to be improved and there's a small fucked up as i pretty much change another track to mix in when the "ongoing" track was already near its end.

got recalled today, absolutely wasted my time by going to ops brief and listening to CO talk. what CO said did makde sense but still. it ruined my whole days plans as i have to go back camp that night, which is errr, in about an hour's time?
i intended to go down to MOE to reprint my O level cert. by the time ops brief ended and i reached pasir ris, it was already 2. Wtf man.
6 more days and i'm a 2nd year soldier.

shan't elaborate much cause i'm kinda running late, pretty much not in the mood anyway.
was it because of the recall? probably.
but i couldn't care less. i'm just a NSF.
1 more year, and i'll fuck off.
cheers
