time's up

Quitting smoking seems to be the in thing now. I’ve got like 2 friends attempting to quit smoking. One of them is Ivan, the last person I would ever thought of quitting smoking and the other is Alyssa. Seriously, I have also thought about it but I consider the job I’m in now. It’s almost impossible. I have too much time to kill.
But it’s actually down to the human himself. It’s all mental, and its all about personal discipline. And I do not have much of that. There’s a limit to my personal discipline.
But, it’s quite harmless to actually stop smoking, and well worth a try.
I’ve decided to actually quit smoking. The habit that has been integrated into my mind for the past 23-14=9 years.

Here’s a look at the newest toy I want. And in desperate need!

there comes a point of our lives that we suddenly look around and notice that everyone's a happy couple. everybody except you.
People have been telling me to get a girlfriend and stuff these few days, its not that i do not want.

heres the reason why i don't have a girlfriend. notice the amount of spots on the face? its all thanks to the SAF camouflage cream.
ps: this shot was taken after plenty of vodka and barcadi 151s. i end the night by vomitting.

disclaimer:
the quote "I've decided to actually quit smoking" is not a joke. April Fools is over.

pauperism

haven been updating the blog recently. i'm kinda busy these days. dumb camp issues.

it never feels good to be arrowed. which i have just got one recently. to attend the twice-monthly meeting at HQ. with the PS, PC. but hey, no OC, no RSM, no S3. But i've got this damn bad feeling i'll become acting PS. which means, more work, no additional money, more extra responsiblites, more shit on your shoulders. sounds good uh?

went down to Zouk for to catch Gabriel & Dresden, it was damn good. Progressive set, i did a field report for Trancerepublic, its not up yet, i'll post the URL here and you can go read it.

went down to Josh's house yesterday, got a shitload of records from him. mainly progressive stuffs, some techy some uplifting. a total of 17 of them. i'll share the titles i've got below...

17)Jeremy healy & Amos - STAMP! (original + rhythm masters + nothern boyz remix) [Positiva]

thats alot uh, and that didn't come cheap.
VDM - No hesitation, its just the kind of tracks i'm looking for now. energetic. those kind u'll hear during the 2-3am slot. groovyyyyy

i took the bus home after that from cck all the way back to tampines. it was bus number 67. and i told myself never to take the bus again. on a sunday. its packed with foreign workers, all the way from cck to little india. and its fuckin 2hours ride and i had to stand like 60% of the travelling time with my hand carrying 17 records. but hey, get it right. i ain't no racist. i'm fine with the bangladeshi. its the actions. they tend to just stand there and not move. when i say move, it means moving to the back of the bus. u can actually see that the front, its packed like sardines in a can, and at the back, empty! ok the seats were taken.
And the worse bit. chinese nationals. and to stress it again i'm not racist, i'm just pretty pissed. now the situation is, the bus is full at the front. and somehow there's a little space at the back. the front was just too pack to get on the bus. bingo! those idiots came from the back, tried to tap their EZ-Link at the back, and you know it won't work. the result, you get a few idiots squeezing through the bus, to the front. instead of actually getting out of the damn backdoor and going to the frontdoor. well, doesn't that piss you off and make you wanna give them 1 fuckin tight slap on the face? oh yea and the next best thing, 2 bloody monkeys, seeing their failed attempt at tapping their EZ-Link card at the back of the bus, decided to actually not give a fuckin damn and just went to the back of the bus. it means, not paying your fare. what the fuck man? i'm not getting jealous or anything but i'm just kinda disgusted to actually see this kinda actions. yes i know, fares are expensive to them, but at least not do that kinda thing. its an absolute disgrace.

Sessions Journal #1

well, i think i've better record down all the practice sets i've been doing lately. just to keep track on my improvement...
theres a current worry about me, not sure if its good or bad, but i'm kinda moving on, i'm into techno now. but theres still a love for trance and progressive. sounds great to mix around huh? that measn more hard work for me, and more spending on vinyls! i'm broke!
well for your little info, the techno i'm talking about, is not ur radio friendly WKRZ 91.3FM kind of techno. i would like to define that played on radio as absolute trash. The real techno. is absolutely different. its all about raw beats & percussions. take for example, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Carl Cox. Heroes of the techno world. you should really listen to their sets.

Practice Sessions #1 Tracklisting

1)Outback - State of emergency (original mix)
2)St John vs Locust - Mind Circles (original mix)
3)Aalto - Taurine (original mix)
4)Young Parisians feat Ben Lost - Jump the next Train (Kyau vs Albert remix)
5)Super8 - Cre8 (original mix)
6)L.S.G. - Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix)
7)Jan Gustafsson - Future History / True Fiction
8)Mike Koglin - The Silence (2005 remake)
9)Cern - The Message (northern mix)
10)Primolux - Turnpoint

well, the only comment about this damn mix. is that the transistion from Taurine (track3) to Jump the next Train (track4), is uber fucked up.
take note of the word uber. i really mean it.
i have no fuckin idea what i was doing.
the rest, they were fine. at least for me.
