GrandSlammed

its been a very hectic week, especially with exercise GrandSlam going on during the week.
totally shagged out for grandslam, evacuating a casualty for 2km is no joke, especially the fella is not your normal sized friend, but a piece of muscular lard, its been the most "siong" hour i've ever been through in my 8 weeks in BSLC... and talking about BSLC, i was issued the coproral rank during our visit to chevron. i had to spend fuckin 7 bucks to sew them on 2 of my uniforms, but think again, 2 more weeks and i'm done!!!!!

booked out on friday night after my visit to chevron, went on to meet the guys (ivan & co). went to this place called One Night Stand at Clarke Quay to attend Mel's (Carson's beloved) birthday celebration... a live band place, not my type, the vibe wasn't there either, but the plus point was that i get to sit down and drink with the guys which i haven done so in a long time, and they serve Hoegaarden there :D
sadly i went off with ivan at 130am, couldn't tahan anymore, i was losing the battle with the Z-Monster hahaha
supposed to go have a munch with ivan, but then we K.O. inside the cab, and we both agree to go home and sleep rather the eat haha

got myself 2 new pieces of vinyl, not really new, i already had 1 of them, but there was this remix which i wanted
The ThrillSeekers - Synthaesia (En-Motion 2004 Edit)
Kobbe & Austin Leeds Present The Pressure - Dazed

went to Sitex after that to check out the Mac Powerbook, still in love with it but sadly i've got no dough currently for that expensive gadget. checked out the new Creative Zen, kinda impressed with it... cos it comes with FM Radio too, dont think the iPOD has that function either, and it comes with 2 mini speakers which are kinda useful to me, can bring to camp and blast, hehee

thought of going into music production soon, so i went to take a look at the new creative soundcards for music production, dont really know much about it but there was Josh to explain things to me (luckily :P)
sounds very chim to me, but i'm willing to learn more about it :D

went to meet qizhi, shawn, dee and the gang at Bar Celona to watch soccer, saw Chelsea pwned Charlton 4-0. dont really like Chelsea, too much stars, just like Madrid, dont like this kinda all-star teams... sucks big time
always be with Juventus!

went on to madam wong after the match, practically i felt i downgraded myself by going there. but there was no choice because my attempts to convince them to go Liquid Room pratically failed haha... alot of girls inside, and plenty of guys. those typical kind of guys u see along town, i don't know how to describe them.. only the word typical sporean guys... what can i say? i'm in singapore!

heres something which really irritated me big time

"Singapore reviewing smoking ban to include more areas"

What the fuck man!?
increasing the price is already bad enough, and now this!? what the fuck does the goverment want!?
first it was the air conditioned areas, now they wanna extend the ban to kopitiams & bus stops. then what will happen to people like us, who laze around kopitiams talking cock and drinking lemon tea?? talking cock with no cigarettes is a torture. they might as well ban cigarettes in singapore.
but then again that would result in loss in revenue for the goverment, whereas tobacco taxes contribute quite alot to it.
healthy lifestyle? all this is just a gimmick, why dont they just fuckin ban the stuff?
wanna prevent people from smoking? it all starts young, keep check on the people who sell them rather then come irritate us.
the day they ban smoking in clubs, bars and pubs,we smokers should fuckin unite and blow their asses up

Tiesto Scoffed

SKRUFFF NEWS
DJ Mag Turn On Tiesto 18/11/2004
DJ Magazine ridiculed their Top 100 poll winner Tiesto as an egotistical monster who's lost all grip on reality this week, after the Dutch trance star failed to turn up at their top 100 winners party in London.

According to the magazine, the Dutch star pulled out just hours before the party was due to start because he was struggling to perfect a magic trick for a dance festival scheduled the next day, prompting an enraged response from the British mag.

“Since his shock win in 2002, Tiesto has been feeding his ego with a score of high profile events; gigs in football stadiums, a gig in New York’s Central Park- a gig at the fucking Olympics,” DJ sneered.

“Fair play, no other top 100 winner has used the title for such shrewd and calculating PR. He’s the biggest DJ on the planet . . . but boy does he know it,” they added.

The mag went on to highlight the fact he’d got a mate to mix last year’s compilation Tiesto Presents Magik Muzik when he won last year and also mocked his choice of rider for this year’s event which included booze, Red Bull and a selection of cheeses.

“Rock stars ask for mountains of cocaine and racks and racks of whores,” they scoffed. “It says a lot for dance music when Tiesto is happy with a cheese fucking sandwich.”

Elsewhere in the same issue, club reviewer Paul Clarke was equally scathing in a review of the night, focusing on the moment when editor Lesley Wright announced him as a no-show.

“There’s an understandable sense of disappointment from some corners of the crowd- alongside a sigh of relief from those of us who’d prefer to solder our ear together than actually have to listen to his turgid tosh (rubbish- slang Ed),” he spat.

“Much as we respect our readers’ choice, we don’t actually have to agree with it, you know?”

Tiesto’s fall from grace could present opportunities for Armin Van Buuren, who came third in this year’s poll with a DJing style apparently based on minimal record shopping and relentless repetition. The Dutch trancer’s technique was revealed in a press release for his forthcoming mix compilation Universal Religion 2004, Live From Armada in Ibiza, which captured one of his seven acclaimed Amnesia sets this summer.

“This is a collection of summer memories from one of dance music’s heroes of the moment,” the press release explained. “The 14 tracks on Universal Religion 2004 could be heard in almost every set Armin played in Ibiza.”

long day

very long & tired saturday... woke up at 730am, only slept for like 2 hours before meeting up with ivan, aloysius, brandon and guoliang at 201 for breakfast. it was still wet around after the night long rain and i had my doubts about the sun when we reach sentosa.
we had a hard time looking for a parking lot at sentosa, cos mainly some of the roads were closed for roadworks and there was this IBM event going on... ended up parking our cars at tanjong beach... took a short walk to catch the tram and we landed at sunsetbay :D
babes galore at the beach and plenty of australians around cos there was some event going on... played volleyball(the usual) with some of the aussies around, which imo are super friendly, and are drinking beer 90% of the time. i don't remember seeing them drinking anything else other then beer haha!
the sun wasn't that strong at all afterall at sentosa. there was sun, but not strong compared to the other time we went with scott , alyssa and shufen... kinda disappointing and we left at around 2 plus for the hawker centre opp for lunch. waited for miss tiffany for like 1hour+ before she came to meet up with us, we went our seperate ways after that, ivan went to jurong to fetch his fren, whereas me,guoliang and aloysius headed home.

took a short rest @ home, did a little mixing, trying out all my new stuff i bought, white room, i kill for you etc etc etc...

met up stan the man in pasir ris, went off to sebastian's birthday together.. didnt know he signed on as NDU man... fella really grew man, he was already damn fuckin fit in poly, and now, he's even bigger size... v bulky and scary... didn't really wanna go to the birthday as i wasn't really "GUM" with the people there other then stanley and glen, maybe we just don't click, they are kinda quiet and very toned down people, very errr "guai" people... don't club, don't drink, no late nights... kinda like the opposite of me... maybe thats why... different style... hahahaa i went off quite early in the end, around 10+
went off to meet my good brudder qizhi, dee, joey and ah thor at alleybar, and we were suppose to catch a movie, bridget jones diary part 2... had a few drinks at alleybar, talk plenty of cock and suddenly we ended up at Rogue, where i caught foresight playing his stuff, everything that lands under the category of progressive...
went off to catch the movie later, errr i have no comments about the show cause i practically slept through the show hahaa..

2

yea finally my table is here! my precious decks finally have a table to rest on...still i hate the design, the fella who did my table, i really hate him even though he's my cousin's husband(i dunno how u describe it lol), but it was since CNY and till now then he delivered my stuff. its not as if we are not paying him but what the fuck man he should really have some professionalism drilled into him. somemore his company is kinda big i assume since he lives in bukit timah, not 1, but 2 houses... what do we mean to him? nothing? this means he doesn't treat as like relatives? if he wasn't somehow related to me i would really beat the shit out of him. fucken wuss.

has been a fruitful friday, since i've finally decided to take sometime off to make the trip down to simlim to exchange for a new 80GB HDD, it was spoilt since i bought it, but i was too lazy to specially make the trip down haha... went down to roxy afterwards and got myself some kewl stuff, 2 solid vinyls namely...
Thrillseekers - Synthaesia
Markus Schulz Presents Elevation - Somewhere (Clear Blue)

went off to meet carson, ivan & co later, did a little shopping... ivan bought himself a pair of white lacoste shoes, i have no idea why he's so into white haha... saw a pair of brown nike sneakers in the same shop, now i'm confused whether to get a nike or timberland sneaker... the nike costs 140, while the timberland 199... which 1 now!?
went back to 201 shortly and had dinner, and johnathan came to join us... and we ended up at seletar resevoir to meet up with wilbert, practically we spend the whole night touring around singapore before finally decided to end up at east coast macdonalds, sitting down to have a drink...

and yes! scott has came back from australia, bought me 2 pieces of vinyls from a 2nd hand record store over there (thanks bro)... 4 strings - diving(minimalistix mix) and i can't remember the other one... its in the box bt i'm just lazy to stretch over haha

next week's gonna be Exercise Grandslam, 1 of the finale exercises for BSLC (YES FINALLY!)... its gonna be 1 hell of a week, eating combat (NOT AGAIN) and getting contacted 12348972323 times a day, carrying a stupid SAW gun, wearing the Helmet of Stupidity(-100% for intelligence) for 3 Days... wonder should i get attB status? hmmm...........

3 more weeks to end of BSLC.

nutcracked

oh yea Nutcracker is over! i really got my balls cracked for the exercise man, spend 2 days digging the lame trench, setting up the FOPK, yes i have no idea what FOPK stands for too.
then we had to cover up the whole trench after showing our PC the trench... what a waste.
look on the bright side of things, i'm off from thursday to sunday! super long weekend!!!
now i've time for to do my own stuff, finally.

now i'm feeling the effects of digging already, my arms are in pain, so are my legs... everytime i close my palm, its painful also... argh!
*respect for the banghras*

met up with ivan & co yesterday, saw wilbert after since 230473746 years ago haha.. well, had a little catching up with each other before we went for supper at simpang...

screwed

pretty screwed up week, missed armin's gig at zouk on friday due to army...
heard his set was absolutely great, played lotsa classic trance tunes (DAMN!)

Only-Djs is back after being down for sometime, heard they went bankrupt.
now they are back, with a new URL, same look, http://www.4djsonly.com/

but then again i'm not sure if will order from them if the rumours are true that they went bankrupt, its alot of dough u noe!

it has been a hectic weekend for me... finally decided to pass my SOC on saturday with clifton, don't know why also...
but there's just 1 dumb thing, BMTC gets the whole week since wed off, but we have to go back just to attend some dumb first aid lectures, and to take the test. well i wouldn't even define that as a test, probably a quiz only... why cant they just squeeze those lessons into some empty day? god i hate my OC more & more

booked out on sat noon, went home to catch some sleep after my SOC, went to phuture after that.. saw the SAE DJ-ing competition... could catch only the last fella playing, he wasn't that bad, but compared to Kevin C (which i've heard him playing during august's Localized), think Kevin is better and deserved more.
SESSIONS begun shortly after the competition which ended at 2330, Aldrin kicked off the night with Goldenscan's Halcyon (MASSIVE!) followed by Holding on to Nothing, White room, Massive, Carte Blanche, Epic, Forever just to name a few... truly uplifting
after him was felix's set, uh huh the semi-finalist of this year's Juice DJ Quest kicked off his set with Radiohead's Street Spirit and his usual, For an Angel... hahaa
then came Josh, my good buddy, he was kinda nervous already before the set, as we were having dinner at Great World, nevertheless he did a great job by pulling the crowd back... 2 thumbs up to you Josh!

reached home at around 430, booked in at 7am for my guard duty, fkn hell was ammo guard... 24 hour duty, i slept pretty much throughout, fkn slack over at ammo dump, the guard comd couldn't careless about us too haha so pretty much i caught up with alot of sleep but then again, i rather be out sleeping on my own bed..

well the worst shiet is coming up tmrw, exercise Nutcracker, where i'm gonna dig a shellscrape and a firetrench... its a 3D2N exercise, think i'm gonna shag out...
looking on the bright side, i get the whole week off from thurs all the way to sunday... finally sometime for myself... gotta get some stuff done during the next week, getting a new table for my decks, catching up with some friends...

and again, its time for me to book in (man i hate the feeling)... see ya people over the next weekend

day one

well its my first time blogging... won't be updating the blog much as i only get to book out on weekends... guess it'll be on a weekly basis...

exercise Catwalk finally ended on a fateful tuesday, together with the dumb NightOwl... i'm free for the rest of the week cos its basically just some lectures... but there'll be SOC on saturday, which i dun think i wanna go... think i'll report sick on friday :D
exercise Nutcracker coming up next, its all about digging, not too sure if i can take it hahaha

4 more weeks to end of BSLC!

was at Liquid Room yesterday to support my friend JasK from TranceRepublic, kudos to the Adrian Wee who played before him...
jason played some killer tracks, fearless(agnelli & nelson rmx), godspeed(some unknown bootleg), stonecold just to name a few
the whole party was great, everything was in place. the vibe, the drinks, the music. and to sum things up, it was payday! 2 thumbs up!

its a fkn public holiday today yet we still gotta book in tonight, and i have duty on sunday what the hell, sign 1 bloody extra duty for small thing... but look on the bright side, i still get to come out on saturday night for SESSIONS ^___^

the lowpoint of the week has got to be me missing out on Armin's gig at ZOUK on friday! the king of trance! on our very shores for the 2nd time this year! i'm still thinking about how to get an MC on friday... anyone care to give me some advice?

well think in the meantine, i'll go fix up my decks, my hands are getting itchy... hehe
