daily happenings

nuthin much up the past few days...
spent my monday and tuesday back in Lim Chu Kang, FIBUA Village.

FIBUA;
Fighting In Built Up Area

real life counterstrike that is. was fun, especially when you're doing it with fellow specs. and i had to lead the trainees in a certain mission, which was a platoon movement.
Nevertheless, it was great.

booked out on wednesday to meet up with michael and 1 of his friend. Supposedly wanted to go Chinablack, but i was greatly against the idea because the place sucks, the drinks and the music.
2 thumbs down.
instead, we down to this pub at tanjong pagar next to eski bar, which was named Alladdin.
it was a nice cosy place. good place to chill. and the drinks were cheap.
oh yea, not forgetting the waitress over there which had me pinning my eyes on her like 75% of the time.
oooh... what a great smile she had.
wanted to stay a little longer but i had to go back camp the following day and henceforth...

the weekend was pretty mellow. i wanted to watch Seven Swords, a film by Tsui Hark but Liwei and Ivan were like greatly against the idea and wanted to watch something else. but there was nothing else to watch.
We decided to forfeit the movie and went off to starbucks with Scott and Alyssa where we had some coffee(i mean what else can you have at Starbucks?).
Liwei poped the question of eating. And since we had a ride, feeling a little jaded but was a little hungry. practically the next stop would be...
Bedok 85.

Was supposed to meet Pearlie,Pearly or whatever u spell it for dinner today but she didn't reply my sms so i guess either she's asleep or what, decided not to call her just in case i wake her up. You know man, people don't like to answer phonecalls when they are asleep. You'll get a good scolding instead.
Practically Sunday = LIMBO.

pretty much nothing

the weekend was basically quiet, didn't do much things. basically i just pretty much hanged around with ivan and liwei throughout.

FDC have had their infantry week already.
i taught all the drills i've ever learnt, and after plenty of "samuras" they still pretty much suck at it.
they just finished their section live firing on friday, in which i got myself dirty all over with the mud while doing a positive demostration for them to see.

Section!
Straight Ahead!
100!
Slope!
Enemy on Slope!
Regular!
FIREEEEEEEEE!!!!!
ahh... the good old days.

had a good dinner with ivan & liwei at Amara Hotel. we went for the buffet there which was pretty good. infact, great. alot of varieties of food there in which we indulge ourselves into. we ate alot, and bloated haha.
headed down to town to look for melvin at his workplace, which later we ended up in alley bar gulping down some Hoegaarden and slack for awhile before we head back home.

thought of getting 2 JBL speakers from this guy on the forum, but i'll be sharing it with melvin because the package was 800 for the CDJ he's selling to melvin including the speakers.
If without the speakers, its 700.
i mean, the speakers are huge, and for an extra 100 bucks, its kinda worth it.
probably be getting my iPOD today...
but...
Mac or Creative?

trained soldiers? not really.

headed down to Momo yesterday with qizhi and yongjie. had a couple of beers, a couple of 151s.
not really high but it was really enjoyable.
3 is just nice a number to club.
you go everywhere together, stick together.
unlike big numbers. some here some there.
kinda sick.
fuck the music, fuck everything there. but the babes were like... wooh.

another thing is...

trained soldiers.
thats what you are called after you pass out from BMT.

but infact, they shouldn't.

standards are dropping, and those who did not op to be a commander are not mentally prepared for army.
well, we shouldn't really blame them but...

we've gotten another complaint.
this time, its from MINDEF.
with regards to?
last week's late turnout by our officer.

whats there to complaint about?
its just a fuckin turnout.
you can't meet the damn timing, you do a little PT in your SBO attire.
i've always told my platoon. the company. that we are doing real ops here in CAB. i mean, we've got to be prepared for any situation that happens. be it intruder, accidental blackout, bomb threat.
turnout is a very common thing here in FDS.
being turnout during course is part of training. get it? its training.
T R A I N I N G.

and they complaint.
i have no idea who is the motherfucker that complaint but he's really a wimp. i think i have a rough idea who is it.
but maybe the fact that they are JC students. sorry but no offence but i really think they are fucking wimps.
they can't take it mentally, can't take it physically.
what the fuck can they do? they call themselves man? more like ladies.
maybe its because of the "mini" change parade they had.
6mins to change from no.4 to admin attire. too long or too short?
its alot of time for goodness sake.

ok change parades are banned. but what if something happens and they are in admin attire?
please. tell me what and how to train them.
you can't do this you can't do that.
might as well lets all go home.

and now we, the instructors have to write a fuckin statement.
well, since they want it this way. so be it.
next week is the start of their infantry training.
i'm a very vengeful person :)

caught fantastic 4 yesterday at PS with liwei, belle & ivan.
verdict.
not bad.

and the inevitable question came after the movie.
if you had an option to choose 1 special power in this world...
what would it be?

it was agreed that those who didn't used their brains enough would choose the power of invincibility.
why the fuck would you want to be invincible for?
here are some of the options we came up with...
Flying. you can only do that in dreams...
Invisibility. ahhh dirty thoughts...
Elasticity, stretch any part of your body?
controlling fire.
ok basically the choices were inspired by the movie.

what about me?
i choose the power of the mind.
the ability to control people's mind.
cool uh?
imagine making the fella pass you money willingly.
there are 1001 ways to use this special power.

liwei went off with belle and i went off with ivan after movie. we down to east coast, met up with johnathan, nicole, jill, joshua and corey.
had a few drinks, some heated discussions over sexual topics like the definition of slut, some old skool memories of teachers back in sec & pri school.
nuthin much.
but it was considered a chillin session.
relac jack.

bought myself 5 vinyls yesterday...

Fatigue Duty

haven't really blogged for the past 2 weeks.
mainly down to 2 factors, laziness & fatigue.
not much to say about laziness, but fatigue...

Fatigue
v. fa·tigued, fa·tigu·ing, fa·tigues v. tr.
-To tire with physical or mental exertion; weary.
-To create fatigue in (a metal or other material).

haven been very tired for the past 2 weeks, mainly due to being a instructor for the FDC course. we sleep lesser then the trainees, due to huge megaloads of admin work.
but there was another factor.
Anger.
why anger?
the standard of BMT has dropped. Soldiers were not disciplined enough, and they aren't equipped with the proper skills and physically unfit. perhaps its the quality fo soldiers we get.
eg: solving a double feeding problem.
it was not taught back in bmt. when we asked them, how come they didn't know how to solve it. heres the answer...
Trainee: no leh sergeant, last time bmt never teach. we got double feeding the sergeant solve for us one.
doen't that make you wanna puke blood out?
i'm very disappointed with the level of performance of soldiers now.
and they can call themselves trained soldiers.
My Ass.

spent the weekend walking around with Michael (again), talking about different music, SAF life(yet again) and new releases from different labels namely Supreme & Maharishi. We hooked up with baboo, ivan liwei and leslie later on and the suggested idea was to head down Momo since there was free entry.
heard quite a bit about this new club in town. they play r&b music, some top 40s and commercial house.
not my type of music exactly.
we headed down around 11, ok the decor around the club was pretty neat. no lasers as lighting.
the dress code was pretty similiar to mohd sultan. most of the girls there were wearing MNG top (zzz), and the guys were wearing the usual long sleeve shirt. typical.
but the dumb part was, they were playing top 40s & r&b but their projector screen was showing a video on some european dance festival.
doesn't really sound right uh? musical mismatch.
the drinks were diluted, and they were expensive. 35 bucks for a jug, no 1 for 1. and diluted.
fuck off.
no way am i going back there again.
perhaps only of the lure of the amount of chicks there.

tom's been back for a week and i've yet had a chance to catch up with him but, hey i'm off for on thursday and this coming weekend is a long weekend.
but most importantly....
its payday!
